A tour of the symbolic idol of Ram Lalla (infant Ram) was conducted in the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya on Wednesday ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ ceremony (consecration) on January 22.

A large number of people did a ‘parikrama‘ within the temple complex, carrying the Ram Lalla silver idol in a small palanquin decked up with flowers.

The ‘parikrama‘ was done during the ‘Kalash Yatra’ in the Ram Temple complex.

The Ram Lalla idol touring the Ram Temple is a part of the seven-day ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ rituals, which began on Tuesday.

ALL ABOUT ‘PRAN PRATISHTHA’

Preparations for the Pran Pratishtha‘ event have been in full swing in Ayodhya, with more than 7,000 people, including politicians, industrialists, saints, and celebrities from across the country, expected to attend the grand opening. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest.

Additionally, nearly 100 representatives from different countries will attend the consecration ceremony.

The Ram Lalla idol, sculpted by a Mysuru-based artist, Arun Yogiraj, has been selected for installation in the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha).
