‘Good Morning America’ host Robin Roberts is now married! She tied the knot with her longtime partner Amber Laign on Friday, September 9. The couple has been in a relationship for almost two decades now.
Robin shared the news that she married Amber Laign in an Instagram post. She shared two photos of the brides walking hand-in-hand in their flowy white wedding gowns. She captioned it as, “An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous receptionâæohhhh the dancing!! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come (sic)!”.

Robin Roberts and Amber Laign held the wedding ceremony at their home, according to Good Morning America. Roberts’ pastor officiated the nuptials. According to USA Today, the brides’ custom-made wedding dresses were designed by Mark Badgley and James Mischka. The reports also suggest that their wedding ceremony was followed by an “enchanted garden-themed reception.”
The couple first met in 2005 on a blind date planned by their friends.
For the uninitiated, Roberts fought breast cancer in 2007 and underwent chemotherapy. In 2012, she was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome, and underwent a bone marrow transplant.
