This compact device did capture some hears, but change is around the corner, as per reports.
Reports have been circulating for months, hinting at Apple’s plan to retire the iPhone Mini series. Earlier this year, Tom’s Guide speculated that at least four models, including the iPhone 13 Mini, might be on the chopping block after the release of the iPhone 15 series. Now, with the official iPhone 15 launch only hours away, these rumours have resurfaced, leaving many Mini enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. Last year, after unveiling the iPhone 14 series, Apple had discontinued the iPhone 12 mini. Furthermore, there was no iPhone 14 Mini launched. So it is quite likely that this time, after announcing the iPhone 15, the iPhone 13 mini will get the axe.
However, if you are already using the iPhone 13 mini or even the iPhone 12 mini, you need not worry as you probably are one of the few users who will get to experience these compact devices.
The news of the iPhone 13 Mini’s impending fate was shared by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman on X. He had pointed out that the device’s stock was dwindling rapidly. In the US, Apple’s online store reveals delivery times of 2-3 weeks for certain iPhone 13 Mini models and a staggering 6-8 weeks for others. This scarcity led experts to speculate that Apple may discontinue the iPhone 13 Mini following the iPhone 15 series announcement.
The iPhone 13 mini launched at the price of Rs 69,900 in India in 2021. It was initially rolled out as a more pocket-friendly option for those wanting an iPhone. The iPhone 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max launched for Rs 79,900, Rs 1,19,900 and Rs 1,29,900 respectively.
As of now, the iPhone 13 mini is available for sale on leading e-commerce websites. On Flipkart, the phone is selling at a price of Rs 61,999. If you have an HDFC card, you can get a discount of Rs 2,000. There are several other offers available as well.
On Amazon, the iPhone 13 mini is available at a special price of Rs 56,999.
To reiterate, if you are planning to buy the iPhone 13 mini, today might be the last day as the phone might be discontinued by Apple after the launch of the iPhone 15 series.
