IIT Madras professor awarded with prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize

Professor Rajnish Kumar of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has been honoured with the esteemed Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, an award dedicated to those advancing human knowledge through exceptional contributions in their field of expertise.

The award celebrates Professor Kumar’s extraordinary contributions to the understanding of clathrate hydrate nucleation and growth, CO2 sequestration in solid hydrates, and methane recovery from marine gas hydrates, highlighting the importance of his research in addressing environmental challenges.
