Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted US President Joe Biden for a private dinner at his residence in the national capital. Biden touched down in Delhi on Friday ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit to hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister.

PM Modi said the meeting behind closed doors was “very productive”. “We were able to discuss numerous topics which will further economic and people-to-people linkages between India and the USA,” the Prime Minister said.

Meanwhile, Biden wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister.” He said both India and the US were determined to display a “stronger” partnership throughout the G20. He also underlined that both sides are “closer”.

The G20 Summit kickstarts on September 9 under India’s presidency for the first time.
