Rashmi Govil 2nd woman on IOC board, takes charge as director HR – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Rashmi Govil on Friday took over as director (HR) of IndianOil, becoming the second woman on the board of India’s largest oil refiner and fuel retailer.
Govil joined the state-run behemoth in 1994 and brings nearly three decades of experience in various facets of HR functions. An MBA with specialisation in HR, Govil also has a post-graduate diploma in finance.
She was executive director (HR & employee relations) at the company’s corporate office. She has also had a stint at IOC’s refineries HQ and tackled the challenging environment at the company’s Mathura refinery.
Govil is known for her result-oriented, collaborative and inclusive style of functioning. She pioneered the unique innovation cell ‘Srijan’, steered the roll-out of enterprise-wide SAP solutions in HR and has led multiple landmark settlements with the collectives, including long-term wage settlements with IOC unions.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Govil executed the revision of numerous policies with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and the well-being of the employees.
