The Telugu film, ‘HanuMan’, is showing no signs of slowing down. Starring Teja Sajja and Vinay Rai, the superhero film is helmed by Prasanth Varma. ‘HanuMan’ is now inching towards Rs 100-crore mark in India and is likely to achieve the milestone in a couple of days. Going by positive word of mouth, the superhero film will definitely see an incline in collection during the weekend.

Teja Sajja’s ‘HanuMan’ clashed with Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’ when it released in theatres on January 12. It released in multiple languages.
The Teja Sajja-starrer is setting the cash registers ringing and with each passing day, more screens are being added to the film. On January 17, the film saw a slight drop. However, it still put up numbers in double digits, which is a good sign.
On January 17, ‘HanuMan’ is estimated to have earned Rs 11.50 crore net in India. This takes the five-day total collection to Rs 80.46 crore net at the domestic box office. The Telugu version of ‘HanuMan’ recorded an overall occupancy of 64.69 per cent in India on January 17.

Directed by Prasanth Varma’, ‘HanuMan’ features Teja Sajja in the titular role. The film also features Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty and Vijay Rai in pivotal roles. Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, ‘HanuMan’ is the first offering in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
At the pre-release event, chief guest Megastar Chiranjeevi announced that the makers would donate Rs 5 from each ticket to Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, the filmmaker revealed that they donated Rs 14 lakh to Ram Temple from the film’s opening day collection.
