The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided the premises of Prasanna Roy, the alleged middleman in the SSC recruitment scam case. The raids were being conducted in West Bengal’s Balaka Abasan.
According to the details, Roy’s Newtown home and office were being searched.
Roy was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2022. Later, he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
It was alleged that Roy was close to the head of the SSC recruitment advisory committee, Shanti Prasad Singh.
The central investigative agency reportedly got his name while investigating two alleged recruitment corruption cases.
