The Tata Punch has again beaten its direct rival, the Hyundai Exter, in terms of volume in November. This is the fifth successive month when the Indian brand has been ahead of the Korean brand in wholesale despatches.
Tata Motors sold 14,383 units of the Punch in November. In comparison, Hyundai Motor India, the Indian arm of the South Korean auto giant, sold 8,325 units of the Exter.

Hyundai has claimed that the Exter has already garnered 100,000 bookings.
The Hyundai Exter was launched in India in July this year. It is currently priced between Rs 5,99,900 and Rs 10,14,990 (ex-showroom). Being the most affordable Hyundai SUV, it sits below the Venue, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Kona Electric and Ioniq 5, in the carmaker’s SUV line-up.
The Hyundai Exter is equipped with a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine that generates 83PS and 114Nm. The engine can be paired either with a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. There is also a CNG option, delivering 69PS and 95Nm, with a 5-speed MT.
The Tata Punch is priced between Rs 5,99,900 and Rs 10,09,900 (ex-showroom). Apart from the Punch, Tata sells SUVS like the Nexon, Harrier and Safari.
The Tata Punch employs a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that delivers 88PS and 115Nm, with options for a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. Additionally, a CNG variant of the Tata Punch is available, offering 73PS and 103Nm with a 5-speed MT.
