SANTIAGO: Chile’s central bank said that inflation risks have “decreased significantly” in minutes of its latest meeting published on Friday.
The bank said it considered reducing the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) by 50, 75 and 100 basis points, but finally decided on 75, aligned with market expectations.
“The most relevant change occurred in terms of risks, since the probability of scenarios of a more marked deviation in inflation had decreased significantly,” the bank said.
