Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Jawan’ is unstoppable at the box office. The film, which released on September 7, is inching close to the Rs 400-crore club in India. On September 13, it earned a total of Rs 368 crore at the domestic collection. Directed by Atlee, the action-thriller also crossed the Rs 600-crore mark worldwide within a week. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer continues to maintain a strong grip at the ticket windows.
‘JAWAN’ BOX OFFICE COLLECTION
‘Jawan’ is creating a tsunami at the box office. On Day 1, the film earned Rs 74.50 crore across all languages in India. The film went on to witness the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi cinema by minting Rs 129.06 crore worldwide. According to trade reports, on Day 7, September 13, ‘Jawan’ earned Rs 23.3 crore net in India. Hence, the total collection in India now stands at Rs 368.38 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ had an overall 23.53 per cent occupancy on September 13.
Intetrestingly, ‘Jawan’ has become the fastest film to enter the Rs 300-crore club in India, beating ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Pathaan’. While ‘Jawan’ breached this mark on Day 6, ‘Pathaan’ crossed it on Day 7 and ‘Gadar 2’ on Day 8.

Directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, ‘Jawan’ released worldwide on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The high-octane action thriller also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi as well as Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. ‘Jawan’, a father-son story at its core, highlights various social and political issues through its hero, essayed by Shah Rukh. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra as well as Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance.
A Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, ‘Jawan’ is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film is a commercial entertainer and features SRK in a double role. The film was shot in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film, and made his debut as a solo composer in Bollywood.
