AR Rahman’s Chennai concert became the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. The concert, held on September 10, was criticised for complete mismanagement. AR Rahman and ACTC Events are now processing refunds for those who were denied entry due to overcrowding. Following the reports of overcrowding and excessive traffic, a top police official has been transferred by the government. Now, former actor and minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has reacted to the incident.

UDHAYANIDHI STALIN ON AR RAHMAN’S CONCERT MISHAP

AR Rahman’s concert titled ‘Marakuma Nenjam’ took place at Adityaram Palace in Chennai on September 10. Women were allegedly molested, children were displaced and elderly people suffered minor injuries.

Former actor and minister Udhayanidhi Stalin recently spoke to reporters at an event. He addressed the issues regarding the concert and said, “I didn’t go to the concert and saw the videos on my phone. After an enquiry, action was taken against a top police official. It is said that a last-minute rush seems to be the reason for the mismanagement.”

“So many events like this have happened in the past. We have to be careful and make sure this doesn’t happen again. People are waiting for an opportunity to criticise him. But, we have to avoid situations like these in future. The government will conduct an enquiry and find out who the real culprit is and take action against them,” he further added.

YUVAN SHANKAR, KARTHI AND KHUSHBU STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH AR RAHMAN

On September 11, Yuvan Shankar Raja shared an elaborate statement explaining that the organisers should take notes and conduct events properly in future. He also added that he will stand with AR Rahman on this issue.

Tamil actor Karthi revealed that his family members were in the crowd too. He further added that he Rahman would have been disturbed because of this incident.

Khushbu, in a post on X, revealed that her daughter and her friends were denied entry due to unavailability of seats. She said that the organisers were at fault and not Rahman.

However, celebrities are facing the wrath of the social media users for their ‘tone-deaf’ statements. Many pointed out that they’re not standing with the victims.
