Delhi civic body to run fountains in 2 shifts, afternoon reserved for maintenance

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), a civic body that looks after the New Delhi area, has installed at least 61 fountains in parks and gardens, of which 21 were installed in the lead-up to the G20 Summit, with artistic and esthetic designs.

The 61 fountains are enabled with the state of the art and globally competitive technology for providing an eco-friendly experience for visitors and tourists in the New Delhi area.

According to NDMC officials, the fountains will run in two shifts every day. During the first shift in the morning, the fountains will run from 7 am to 1 pm and in the second shift, the timing will be 4 pm to 11 pm. The maintenance work will be carried out between 1 pm and 4 pm.

With the installation of fountains, people in the New Delhi area would experience a wholesome experience in the lush green parks, roundabouts, T- Points and other public places.

The officials of the NDMC also appealed to all citizens for their cooperation with the civic body in keeping the area clean and maintaining the fountains’ beauty and greenery for a better experience.
