Apple iPhone 15 Pro with titanium frame launched: India price, specs, other key details you must know

In 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro emerged to be a popular choice amongst users as it offered several new features. The dynamic island notch, for instance, was a feature unique to the Pro models and so was the A16 chipset. And now, Apple has raised expectations of the users once again with the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro. The phone was launched at Apple’s biggest annual event of the year, Wonderlust, held on September 12.

While introducing the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple CEO Tim Cook called it ‘the most Pro iPhone’ they have ever created. With a powerful processor, impressive camera upgrades and promising specifications, the iPhone 15 Pro seems to be the perfect option for those looking for a powerful beast that can do it all. iPhone 15 Pro India price and availability

In India, the iPhone 15 Pro prices have been increased as compared to last year’s iPhone 14 Pro. Four storage variants of the iPhone 15 Pro have been launched in India. The price of the 128GB variant is Rs 1,34,900 while the 256GB variant costs Rs 1,44,900. The 512GB variant will be up for grabs for Rs 1,64,900 while the 1TB variant will cost you Rs 1,84,900.

The iPhone 15 Pro will go on sale in India on September 22 onwards. You can also pre-order the device from September 15, 5:30 PM IST. The phone will be available in four colour options – black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium.

iPhone 15 Pro specifications

Design and display: The iPhone 15 Pro features a Grade 5 titanium body which promises to make the phone more durable, as well as lighter in weight. The phone sports a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR display with ‘thinnest borders ever’ on an iPhone. The front features a ceramic shield for an added layer of protection. The edges of the phone too are rounded and smoother, that might result in a better grip. And Just like last year’s Pro models, the phone features a dynamic island notch. Apple has also introduced the action button, instead of the regular mute button, that will have more functionality.

Processor: The iPhone 15 Pro is powered by the all-new A17 Pro processor, which is the industry’s first 3-nanometer chip. The chip also features a bigger GPU with a 6-core design for enhanced performance.

Camera: The iPhone 15 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel main camera with support for clicking higher resolution photos. The camera also allows a user to switch between three popular focal lengths — 24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm — and even choose one as a new default. Not only this, it also supports 48MP HEIF images with 4x more resolution. Moving away from the primary camera, the iPhone 15 Pro also comes with an expansive 3x Telephoto camera.

Battery: In terms of battery, the iPhone 15 Pro will last for an entire day, Apple claims. The battery can be charged by a Type C USB port, like other phone in the lineup.

Action button: With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple has also the all-new Action button, replacing the mute switch that was used to toggle between silent and ringing mode. The action button will let users control various functions including silent mode, flashlight, focus mode, activating voice memos, and more. ” A press-and-hold gesture with fine-tuned haptic feedback and visual cues in the Dynamic Island ensure the new button launches the intended action,” Apple said in a press release.

USB Type C charging: Apple has completely said goodbye to the lightning port with this change and has embraced the more commonly used, USB Type C charging. Hence, gone are the days when you needed to carry your special iPhone charging cable around everywhere you went. Along with the USB Type C charging, the iPhone 15 Pro also supports USB 3 transfer rates of up to 10 gigabits per second.

Enhanced portraits: Apple says that the iPhone 15 Pro promises sharper detail, more vivid colours, and better low-light performance when it comes to clicking portraits. In addition to this, users will no longer need to switch to portrait mode in order to click a portrait. The iPhone 15 Pro will automatically click a portrait shot if there is a person, dog, or a cat in the frame. Users will also be able to adjust the focus point after the photo has been taken.

Mobile gaming brought to life: iPhone 15 Pro promises to being mobile gaming to life as well. Until now, playing titles like Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 remake, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage on a phone seemed to be a far-fetched dream. But with the iPhone 15 Pro, this will now be possible.
