A woman allegedly misbehaved with the police at a pharmacy in Mangaluru on September 1. Through her unusual and aggressive behaviour, she was assumed to have been drunk or under the influence of drugs.
A video of the incident went viral on social media, where she could be seen lying in an inebriated state, surrounded by women police personnel.

However, when taken for a medical examination by Excise Department officials, no evidence of drug consumption was found.
The woman continued to behave aggressively towards the police and the medical staff. Subsequently, she was handed over to her parents and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
An investigation is underway to ascertain why the woman behaved provocatively towards the Excise Department officials.
