Teen boy thrashed by coaching centre teachers in Pithoragarh, probe underway

A video of a teenage boy being thrashed by a group of men in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh has gone viral. It is said the victim was bashed up by his coaching institute teachers, who could be seen kicking the minor boy in the video too.

The father of the minor has filed a complaint with the police and a probe is underway.

The matter fell under the jurisdiction of the Jajardeval police station area of Pithoragarh. According to police, the 16-year-old student was beaten by two teachers of a coaching institute who even gave the victim death threats.

The accused teachers have been identified as Amit Samant and Shivam Bisht. The police said strict action would be taken against the accused soon.
