As President Droupadi Murmu hosted a G20 Gala Dinner at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 9, several global leaders and politicians arrived in style at the venue.
Host Droupadi Murmu proclaimed her affinity for the six yards of elegance and wore a traditional beige saree with a contrasting turquoise border which was further punctuated with vibrant floral patterns.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, changed from a black bandhgala jacket to a rather relaxed V-neck striped jacket for the dinner.
Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, exuded ethnic charm in a graceful lilac saree teamed with a pearl necklace.
Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and his wife Kobita Jugnauth arrived at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi in traditional outfits. Kumar Jugnauth turned up in a black bandhgala-inspired ensemble, his wife exuded six yards of elegance in a saree with a dazzling blouse.
At the G20 Dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu, an ensemble of 50-60 artists will play Indian music. The guests will be served a three-course meal. The menu is expected to include several millet-based dishes.
