Breezy, bright, and beautifully blended – that’s the essence Akshata Murty exuded during her visit to India for the G20 Summit. The businesswoman, who previously ran an eponymous label, proclaimed her affinity for fashion with thoughtfully-chosen outfits from the moment she touched down in New Delhi on September 8 with her husband, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Upon her arrival in New Delhi, Akshata made a stylish statement by opting for a white pleated shirt paired with a traditional skirt featuring intricate brocade accents. This ensemble seamlessly fused elements of Western and Indian fashion, setting the tone for her visit.

On the same day, she wowed everyone by making a series of impressive sartorial choices. During her visit to the British Council India, Akshata wore a printed co-ord set from the Drawn label. While the outfit exuded a modern charm, its unmistakable Indian touch stemmed from Drawn, a homegrown Indian label founded by Rhea Bhattacharya.

Later, Akshata was spotted strolling through Central Delhi alongside Rishi Sunak, exuding an effortless yet vibrant aura. Her evening attire consisted of a simple white T-shirt paired with loose-fitting pink-and-white striped trousers. The carefree yet bright outfit radiated an at-home comfort appeal.

Akshata, renowned for her enduring passion for fashion, continued to make strong fashionable statements on September 9 as well. She attended a millet exhibition at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in Delhi dressed in a lilac marble-print dress from the London-based label Manimekala. It was noteworthy that this label, too, had a connection to India, with its founder and designer, Manimekala Fuller, being of half-British and half-Indian heritage.
